Making a Shrimp Lure Weedless

D.O.A. fishing lures are developed by hard-core fishermen, and offer you an unfair advantage. All of our lures are made of soft plastic and impregnated with farm grown shrimp to resemble real shrimp, crabs, and a variety of bait fish.

Making a DOA Shrimp Weedless

Step 1 - Cut a piece of 40 lb. leader wire about 3 inches long.

Step 2 - Fold your wire in half making a rounded bend at one end.

Step 3 - Make a 90 degree bend about 3/16 inch from the rounded end.

Step 4 - Insert the two pointed ends into the front of the shrimp.

Step 5 - Push the wire down with your finger and put the hook in the bend.

You now have a weedless shrimp.
